Information We Collect Via the PaySmart Virtual SUT Application

If you are a user of Softek’s Paysmart Virtual SUT application, the Fiscal Terminal account information used for login will be provided by Softek. The Account information consists on: Terminal ID, Merchant ID and Password. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and all around great service. Therefore, before permitting you to use our Service and in order to register your Merchant account with Softek, we may require additional information from you so we can use to verify your identity, such as your name, the name of your business, your phone number, address, and Merchant’s Registration Certificate. Once the account is setup, we will collect the total sales amount as well as the Municipal and State Sales and Use (“IVU”) taxes, in order to comply with the Puerto Rico Treasury Department (“Hacienda”).

How Softek uses the Personal Information Collected

Softek’s primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, smooth, and efficient experience. Softek may use your personal information to:

• provide the services and customer support you request;
• process total sales amount transactions, Municipal and State Sales and Use (“IVU”) Taxes and send data to the Puerto Rico Treasury Department (“Hacienda”);
• resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems;
• resolve disputes, collect charges, and solve problems;
• send you updates about new products and services that we are offering to customers;
• perform other duties as required by law.

Choice

Softek offers users choices as to how it will use the personally identifying information that is submitted through its website, applications and solutions. The choices made by the users include both Softek’s primary use, which is to allow the requested transaction, and Softek’s supplementary uses (such as disclosing information to non-affiliated third parties). Users may advise Softek of their preferences by e-mail. Softek will allow the requested user instructions only with respect to information on file. If further user information is submitted, Users must advise further instructions with respect to the new information.
